On behalf of HAAEYC, Gulf Coast AEYC President Laureen Holmes, and the entire Conference Committee, it is my pleasure to personally welcome you to the 2009 Spring Retreat and Conference. As you know, in 2008, the Texas Gulf Coast was hit hard by Hurricane Ike. Many of you sustained damage to your homes, centers and schools. It has been amazing to see the collaborations that developed to assist those in need. Despite the hurricane, the dedication and commitment of our early childhood workforce is stronger than ever. Without question it is true what they say about early childhood folks - nothing can bring us down!

Instead of offering our traditional Saturday-only conference, the HAAEYC board and volunteers have planned an amazing event to recognize YOU and the magnificent job you do. The theme for the Spring 2009 conference is Relax, Revive and Rejuvenate! We have reserved a block of rooms at Moody Gardens Hotel and Convention Center in hopes that YOU will pack your bags and join us on Friday night for an evening of fun and entertainment, followed by our spectacular Saturday conference. We want you to kick-back, take a load off and have fun!

The 2009 Spring Retreat and Conference is a wonderful opportunity for the early childhood community to celebrate, relax, network and grow.
