Welcome to HAAEYC!

The Houston Area Association for the Education of Young Children (HAAEYC) is one of the largest chapter affiliates of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), a national organization comprised of early care and education professionals.  Our mission is to promote and support high quality care and education for young children through improved professional practice and broadened public awareness.  A nonprofit, volunteer organization, HAAEYC is governed by a 16 member board elected by the membership.

HAAEYC Concentrates its efforts on four major areas:

• Program: Plans a broad range of educational opportunities, including two major   annual conferences for early care and educational professionals
• Outreach: Targets public policy, advocacy and community outreach
  
• Membership: Focuses on member recruitment and services
• Organizational Support: Manages the finance and staff of the organization

Annual Texas AEYC Conference - October 16-18, 2008

The Annual Conference is a project of the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children.  The Theme for this year’s conference is Collaborating, Finding Hope and Promise for Children.  The conference will be held October 16 – 18, 2008 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
